Trees...

Most of the damage we received were from trees. My friend said all through the night, she would hear, "BOOM...BOOM...BOOM" as trees would fall and hit homes all around them. Fortunately, our neighborhood is really new, so all of our trees are small. But, most of Kingwood has mature trees and a TON of them are all over the ground, all over the streets, and on homes and businesses...

Some trees bent over. (This photo is crazy! I have never seen a tree like that!)

Some trees split in wierd ways.

Some trees popped right off. Haha.

Some trees split right down the middle. What kind of wind does something like that??

Umm...pretty sure trees aren't supposed to do that!!

And some trees were just completely mangled.

This is so crazy! It was scary driving around looking at all of this the next day. Knowing that all of this happened during the night...uhhhh. Wow, safe within the walls of your home has new meaning. Could you imagine what would happen to you if you were outside during this??

So sad. There were a ton of baby squirrels found on the grounds, many of which hadn't even opened up their eyes.
