Miracles

It is hard to describe our gratitude we've experience this last month. As many of you know Mike has been out of a job for 4 months so far. I am blessed to have a job still in Labor and Delivery, but the hospital has been slow and not many shifts to pick up.

Then, one night, late in the evening, there was a knock at the door. It was about 11 pm 2 nights before Christmas. Mike and I opened the door... to see a porch full of wrapped Christmas gifts-- and groceries to last us... weeks. Including everything for a Christmas dinner. Needless to say, we were completely overwhelmed. Like I said, it is hard to explain the gratitude we have for people who would do something like this for us. Similar gifts have been given to us over the past few weeks--from family, friends, and annonymous people. We are so humbled and grateful for the Lord, and for those angels who have been instraments in his hands. "When you are in the service of your fellow beings, you are only in the service of your God". I know that scripture is true, and I know these people will be blessed for their goodness. Mike and I have both shed more tears than we can count--tears of happiness and gratitude.
